Job Overview
The Financial Administrator at Harvest Bible Chapel is a vital role responsible for managing and maintaining the church's financial records with excellence, integrity, and efficiency. This position ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, reporting, and budgeting. The Financial Administrator will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and contributions, utilizing QuickBooks Online to maintain financial accountability. This part-time role is ideal for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping, church or nonprofit finance, and experience working with QuickBooks Online.
Skills & Responsibilities
● Financial Management & Accounting:
○ Maintain and update QuickBooks Online, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
○ Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and expense tracking.
○ Ensure proper categorization and documentation of all financial transactions.
○ Handle weekly and monthly reconciliations of accounts and financial records.
○ Process donations, tithes, and contributions, ensuring proper allocation and receipting.
● Reporting & Budgeting:
○ Generate and distribute monthly financial statements to church leadership.
○ Assist in preparing annual budgets in collaboration with leadership.
○ Provide financial insights to help optimize financial stewardship.
● Compliance & Stewardship:
○ Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations and church policies.
○ Maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial and donor information.
○ Maintain and update QuickBooks Online, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Experience & Qualifications

● Experience in church or nonprofit financial administration preferred.

● Effective communication skills to interact with church leadership and vendors.
● Experience in church or nonprofit financial administration preferred.
