Experience & Qualifications

●  Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
●  Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
●  Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, including minor repairs and troubleshooting.

●  Alignment with the mission and values of Harvest Bible Chapel.

Living Out the Role

●  Who You Are:
○  You have a heart for service and see custodial work as a ministry that supports the church’s mission.
○  You take pride in a clean and welcoming environment, ensuring spaces are ready for worship and fellowship.
○  You are dependable and proactive, addressing facility needs without being asked.
●  What Success Looks Like:
○  The church is consistently clean, safe, and well-maintained before, during, and after services.
○  Weekend services and events run smoothly because spaces are prepared and facility needs are met.
○  Small maintenance issues are handled efficiently, and larger concerns are reported promptly.

○  You step in to assist with unexpected situations (e.g., spills, emergency repairs, special event setups).
●  What to Avoid:
○  Waiting to be told what needs to be cleaned or fixed rather than taking initiative.
○  Doing just the minimum instead of ensuring every space is truly ready for services and events.
○  Ignoring small facility concerns that could turn into bigger problems if left unattended.
○  Seeing custodial work as just a job rather than an opportunity to serve the church community.
