Job Overview
The Part-Time Maintenance Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the church facilities, ensuring that Harvest Bible Chapel remains a welcoming environment for worship, ministry, and events. This role focuses on weekend hours and includes cleaning, light maintenance, and facility support to ensure smooth operations during services and activities.
Skills & Responsibilities
● Custodial Excellence:
○ Ensure the church building is clean, organized, and safe by performing routine custodial tasks and light maintenance.
● Facility Readiness:
○ Prepare spaces for services and events, including setup, teardown, and responding to facility needs during gatherings.
● Problem-Solving:
○ Identify and address facility issues promptly, including routine cleaning, minor repairs, or urgent maintenance needs.
● Safety & Stewardship:
○ Follow safety procedures, report facility concerns, and help maintain church resources with care and responsibility.
● Flexibility & Responsiveness:
○ Be available to respond to unexpected maintenance needs.
○ Ensure the church building is clean, organized, and safe by performing routine custodial tasks and light maintenance.

Experience & Qualifications
● Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
● Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
● Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, including minor repairs and troubleshooting.
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
● Must be available for weekend shifts, including Sunday mornings and occasional special events.
